The Most Horrifying Thing

I did.. THE MOST... horrifying thing, ever.

You're not going to believe this.

Ready?

I lost ALL my certificates. Yes, even the ones from New South Wales for English Proficiency. And the ones from Singapore College of Insurance.

Oh god. What have I done?

*UPDATED*

I found it. Thank goodness. Will be back to update on why I needed my certs so urgently.

Alfred's 28th Birthday

Random Squawk: In a pek chek mood about something else, so this post is going to sound sour. You have been warned.

Lazy's campmate, Alfred, celebrated his 28th birthday a couple of days ago.

SL273196

Why of all places he chose a chalet to host a BBQ is beyond me. But still, it was fun.

SL273200

What was surprising was that I saw my great-uncle, who apparently was a business associate of Alfred's. Small world, eh?

SL273202

It was fun. Seriously. Every single campmate fell into my trap ( for those in the know, sshh) , and everybody laughed like mad.

SL273222

We should have these more often.

How We Spent Valentine's Day Weekend

Look what I got him for V-Day:

They're cashcards, by the way. All of them usable.

I made a reservation at the only place that wouldn't burn a hole in our pockets, and the only place where I didn't wince when I saw the menu (I'm a fussy eater). They only had a Friday the 13th slot, so I took it.

Eve of V-day also must celebrate, mah.

It's at this place called Absolute Haven, at Prinsep Street. It's a fine dining restaurant that's surprisingly cheap and good. They even absorb the 7% GST, so it's only a +10% when you dine there.

Go try it! It's good!

Anyway, back to the picture taking. We didn't take much pictures this year because with everyone around me getting pro-cameras, I didn't really feel like taking anything with my normal digicam.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The Lazy, as usual, bought flowers for me. This one had a little bear in it that says "I love you" when squeezed. Cute.

Photobucket

The restaurant itself, after footing the bill, presented a little gift box in lieu of Valentine's Day.

Photobucket

It's sweeter than it looks here.

The next day, Valentine's Day itself, we went grocery shopping together. Why of all weird things to do, we went grocery shopping?

Because the Lazy......

Photobucket

.... wanted to cook for me.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Here's a (not-so) rare photo of Lazy cooking. And my goodness, he's a natural-born chef!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Chicken chop, pork chop and portobello mushrooms with gravy.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Note: Product is way more delicious than pictured.

Oh yeah, and we wore our shoesies to Suntec to do our grocery shopping.

Photobucket

That we bought since Christmas. Nice?

Photobucket

After dinner, we invited June to go to the Night Safari with us.

Photobucket
Again, with the picture of the signboard.

Photobucket

Here's the June who was feeling awkward because there were many couples walking around, some of which were even carrying flowers.

Photobucket

But what the hey. We like having him around.

Not much pictures taken that we haven't already taken of the animals.

The next day, which was a Sunday, we got something that I've been wanting for a couple of months.

Photobucket

We got the tank from Anthony, whose tarantula passed away, but it had no cover. And because we bought 4 of the escape artists, Lazy set about making a cover for them.

Photobucket

Ta-da~ Lazy's good with arts and crafts.

And while were were firmly installing them in place, my RESs went crazy because I shifted them one shelf down to make space for this new installation.

Photobucket

Need to upgrade their tank soon. Anyone has a slightly bigger tank to spare?

So........ guess what we bought?

Photobucket

Photobucket

We.. er.. bought.. rocks. Yeah, rocks.

We dropped by the aquarium shop on Monday night to pick up some upgrades for the tank and for our goldfishy.

Photobucket

I just did a bit of feng shui so that the.. er.... rocks.. have space to.. er.. swim.

Lazy not only upgraded the fishy tank, he added a new fish to keep the original one company.
Photobucket

And don't worry about the fishys nibbling on the plants. The plants are there for them to nibble, so that they have something to do.

This year's Valentine's Day is all stretched out in one looooong sweeeet weekend! Probably to make up for next year's Valentine's Day, where we won't get to see each other because of the Lunar New Year.

Still, sweet!

Family Gathering

So on the 14th day of Chinese New Year, the Ngoh Hiong clan gathered at our 3rd uncle's house for a "just because" gathering. We'd already gathered during Chinese New Year, and one month before it for a dry run, so this was "just because" we love each other so much.

My grandmama is always the enthusiastic one. She'd always be the first to sit down while we potter around for photo taking sessions.

My loving Mama and Papa.

Photobucket

And HERE WE ARE!

Photobucket

We're larger than life, okay! You mess with one of us, you mess with ALL of us.

So at that gathering, my mom invited two of my cousins out for lunch a couple of days later.

Photobucket

These two. we ate sushi, shopped for knick-knacks, and had..... chocolate fondue.

Photobucket

Haagen-Dasz, $43 or $46, somewhere in the forty-plus range. Enough for about 4 people. This, was, awesome!

Photobucket

Mom and sis enjoyed themselves too.

And kudos to Amos(quito) for dropping by to say hi, getting electrocuted in the process! He says I made his day when I told him that my cousins thought he was handsome. Muahahahaha.

Busy, Lah

I've been really, really busy these few days. Anytime I'm in front of the computer I'm looking for suppliers and new products and whatnot. If I'm not doing that, I'm thinking of ways to better the blogshop.

Anyone knows how to use the freaking OSCommerce thing?

Do you know where I can find retail prices for cosmetics/skincare products? Need to do a comparison so I can offer a cheaper alternative to buying from department stores.

Hi Guys!

Do me a big favor, can?

Go to http://little-indulgence.blogspot.com/ and help me vote for the poll on the right.

The blog is still undergoing major changes at the moment, which explains why it looks so spartan now. The new blog template format is driving me crazy, and I still don't know how to insert a customised blogskin without it cranking up on me.

Help, anyone?

Also, could you guys be a peachy peach and let me know here if there's anything I can do to make the blog better? Like.. "The header would look better if you...." "The words would look better if you use so-and-so font.." NOT "Not nice leh, your blog..", Okay?

Jazzyme; 信 9:24 PM.

Haha

Mu, I know you're monitering my blog to see if I posted up photos from the gathering.

I is good girl, ok?

Out Of Excuses

And finally I am out of excuses to tell myself about you.

And finally I am starting to feel something other than anger.

I am starting to hurt. And with this hurt, comes revelation of why I've been feeling disgruntled, shortchanged, and unfair all these while that we haven't been talking.

When one does something wrong, one admits it, apologises for it, and asks what one can do to make things better.

Not confront the other party when the other party is sad, and quarrel with the other party for telling you the reason why she is sad. This will cause her to not want to tell you why she is sad in future. There are some grounds on which you can refuse to admit fault and argue about it. There are some that you cannot. This is one of the times you cannot.

So on top of all the other shit that make me angry, on top of am-I-or-aren't-I, on top of having waited for you for 5 hours directly before you finally contacted me, I'm supposed to hold my temper and let you go about nonchalently? And all because apparently you were stressed out at your family gathering, you take it out on me?

What's so hard about admitting, apologising, and asking? Everytime you refuse apology and insist on talking, I end up technically losing because you will find all the reasons and excuses in the world to defend yourself. You also manipulate my love for you, to make my heart soft for you by complaining of this and that bother, this and that stress.

Who's the one who should be stressed out here?

I haven't been saying this for quite awhile, but you've been taking me for granted. Just because you spend time with me, doesn't mean I don't need pampering, or holiday trips, or to be treated like a special, beloved girlfriend. Doesn't count if I needed to nag for those things.

No, I am treated like any common girl. Any one of those who would be contented with an unfulfilling relationship, easy to pacify with gifts and would shut up if you just throw money at her. No surprises, menial, monotonous.

No fucking way.
